SUMMARY:Yoga & Ayurveda Foundation
DESCRIPTION:A 50-hour introduction to the sister sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda\, offering practical tools to support balance\, self-awareness\, and daily wellbeing.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nUnder guidance of Savitri & Riim you will learn the essentials of yoga practice\, including sun salutations\, breath and energy awareness (prana)\, bandha\, and drishti\, while exploring the first principles of yogic philosophy (Yamas & Niyamas). \n\n\n\nAlongside the yoga practice\, you will be introduced to the core concepts of Ayurveda\, including the five elements\, the three doshas\, constitution\, daily routines\, and basics of Ayurvedic nutrition. \n\n\n\nThis 3 month program  creates a supportive environment to deepen self-awareness and build a sustainable personal practice.  \n\n\n\nThis training is offered to you by Sankalpa Ayurveda College in collaboration with saktiisha Yoga Academy \n\n\n\nMonthYAF datesOctober 2026 (YAF-1)16–17 October 2026November 2026 (YAF-2)20–21 November 2026December 2026 (YAF-3)18–19 December 2026

SUMMARY:The Basic Principles of Āyurveda: Āyurvedic Anatomy and Physiology
DESCRIPTION:This module is part of the Fundamentals of Ayurvedic Medicine programme and introduces the core principles of Ayurvedic anatomy and physiology. It can also be taken as a standalone Continuing Education module. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nModule FAM-02\n\n\n\nUnderstand the foundational systems Ayurveda uses to describe the structure\, function and balance of the body and mind. \n\n\n\nThis two-day Continuing Education module introduces the essential building blocks of Ayurvedic physiology\, including the Pañca Mahābhūtas\, the 20 guṇas\, the Tridoṣa system\, prakṛti and vikṛti\, the subdoṣas\, dhātus\, and ojas. \n\n\n\nYou will begin to see how these systems relate to one another and how Ayurveda uses qualities\, elements and doṣic patterns to understand physiological function\, constitution and imbalance. \n\n\n\nThe emphasis is on developing a clear foundational framework that can later be applied in observation\, assessment and clinical reasoning. \n\n\n\nLearning Outcomes\n\n\n\nAfter completing this module\, you will be able to: \n\n\n\n\nExplain the Pañca Mahābhūtas and relate the five elements to the body and mind.\n\n\n\nApply the 20 guṇas to describe substances\, environments and physiological states.\n\n\n\nExplain the functions of Vāta\, Pitta and Kapha and recognize basic signs of doṣic imbalance.\n\n\n\nDifferentiate between prakṛti and vikṛti and understand their relevance to health and imbalance.\n\n\n\nDescribe the principal functions and locations of the subdoṣas.\n\n\n\nExplain the seven dhātus and the role of ojas in nourishment\, resilience and vitality.\n\n\n\nApply foundational Ayurvedic treatment principles\, including the use of opposite qualities to restore balance.\n\n\n\nObserve and describe basic patterns in the body and mind using doṣa\, guṇa and dhātu frameworks.\n\n\n\n\nKey Topics\n\n\n\n\nPañca Mahābhūtas — the five elements\n\n\n\nThe 20 guṇas\n\n\n\nVāta\, Pitta & Kapha\n\n\n\nPrakṛti & vikṛti\n\n\n\nSigns of doṣic imbalance\n\n\n\nThe fifteen subdoṣas\n\n\n\nThe seven dhātus\n\n\n\nOjas\n\n\n\nAyurvedic principles of balance\n\n\n\nOpposite qualities as a treatment principle\n\n\n\nStructure & physiological function\n\n\n\nFoundational Ayurvedic observation\n\n\n\n\nFormat: 2-day module | Friday + Saturday + self study.
