A 50-hour introduction to the sister sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda, offering practical tools to support balance, self-awareness, and daily wellbeing.
Under guidance of Savitri & Riim you will learn the essentials of yoga practice, including sun salutations, breath and energy awareness (prana), bandha, and drishti, while exploring the first principles of yogic philosophy (Yamas & Niyamas).
Alongside the yoga practice, you will be introduced to the core concepts of Ayurveda, including the five elements, the three doshas, constitution, daily routines, and basics of Ayurvedic nutrition.
This 3 month program creates a supportive environment to deepen self-awareness and build a sustainable personal practice.
The Yoga Ayurveda Foundations (YAF) program is designed for anyone who wishes to deepen their understanding of Yoga and Ayurveda and integrate these practices into daily life.
This training is suitable for:
Individuals who want to develop a sustainable personal yoga and self-care practice.
Students who are curious about Ayurveda and yogic lifestyle principles and want to learn how these ancient sciences support balance and wellbeing.
Yoga practitioners who wish to better understand the relationship between yoga practice, energy, and constitution.
Individuals considering further study in Yoga Teacher Training or Ayurvedic education, who would like to first build a strong foundation.
Professionals in wellness, therapy, coaching, or healthcare who want to expand their knowledge with holistic approaches to health.
No previous experience with Ayurveda is required. A basic interest in yoga and self-development is sufficient.
During this training you will:
Develop a foundational Hatha Yoga practice, including sun salutations, basic asanas, breath awareness, and relaxation techniques.
Learn the three important internal aspects of yoga practice:
Prana – awareness of breath and life energy
Bandha – energetic locks that support stability and internal strength
Drishti – focus and concentration in the practice
Explore the first two limbs of the Eightfold Path of Yoga:
Yamas – ethical principles guiding our relationship with others
Niyamas – personal disciplines that cultivate inner clarity
Gain an introduction to the foundations of Ayurveda, including:
The five elements (Panchamahabhuta)
The three doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha
Prakruti (individual constitution)
Vikruti (current imbalance)
Dinacharya (daily routines for balance)
The basic principles of Ayurvedic nutrition
Students also experience how yoga practice can be adapted according to dosha balance, helping to support both physical wellbeing and mental clarity.

1. Do I need previous yoga experience?
No previous yoga experience is required. The training is suitable for beginners as well as for people who already practice yoga and wish to deepen their understanding of yoga and Ayurveda.
2. Do I need prior knowledge of Ayurveda?
No. The program introduces the foundations of Ayurveda in an accessible way. You will learn the basic principles such as the three doshas, daily routines, and Ayurvedic nutrition.
3. Is this a yoga teacher training?
YAF is primarily a foundational training for personal practice and understanding of Yoga and Ayurveda.
However, it also forms the first step within the 250-hour Yoga Ayurveda Teacher Training pathway, for students who later wish to continue into teaching or therapeutic applications.
4. What will I gain from this program?
Participants typically gain:
A deeper personal yoga practice

5. How much time should I expect to dedicate?
In addition to the classes, students are encouraged to spend time on personal practice, reflection, and integrating what they learn into daily life.
6. Can I continue studying after this training?
Yes. After completing YAF, students can continue into the Yoga Ayurveda Personal Development program ( total 250 hours including this training) or explore further studies in Holistic Yoga & Ayurveda Teacher Training (additional 100 hrs)
Or study Ayurvedic Medicine.
