Work with an Ayurvedic Health Counselor
Personalized lifestyle, nutrition, and wellbeing guidance rooted in the wisdom of Ayurveda.
What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is a traditional system of health and wellbeing that has been practiced for thousands of years. Originating in India, Ayurveda recognizes that each person’s path toward balance and vitality is unique, because every individual has a distinct constitution, life experience, and set of circumstances.
Ayurvedic care focuses on understanding patterns of imbalance and supporting the body’s natural capacity for balance through nutrition, lifestyle, daily routines, digestion, sleep, stress management, and other holistic approaches.
The aim of Ayurveda is not simply to manage symptoms, but to cultivate the conditions that allow greater resilience, vitality, and wellbeing. By addressing the foundations of health, Ayurveda seeks to support harmony of body, mind, and spirit.
Consultations at Sankalpa Ayurveda College
At Sankalpa Ayurveda College, consultations are offered by Ayurvedic Health Counselor interns who are in the advanced stages of their professional training.
All consultations take place within a supervised educational clinic, where students receive ongoing mentorship and case guidance from experienced senior Ayurvedic practitioners.
This creates a unique environment where clients benefit from both the dedication of a highly engaged student and the support of an experienced clinical team.
What is an Ayurvedic Health Counselor?
An Ayurvedic Health Counselor is trained in preventive Ayurvedic lifestyle medicine. Their role is to help individuals build and maintain health by strengthening the foundations of wellbeing before imbalance progresses further.
Using personalized nutrition, lifestyle guidance, daily routines, and the therapeutic use of the five senses (sound, touch, sight, taste, and smell), Ayurvedic Health Counselors support the body’s natural capacity for balance, resilience, and vitality.
Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, Ayurvedic Health Counselors seek to understand the underlying patterns that may be contributing to imbalance. Common areas of support include:
• Digestion and gut health
• Energy and vitality
• Sleep quality
• Stress management
• Emotional wellbeing
• Healthy daily routines
• Preventive health and lifestyle optimization
This preventive and lifestyle-centered approach forms the foundation of Ayurvedic healthcare and is often where the most meaningful and sustainable changes begin.
