Unlocking the Secrets of Digestion: Continue Āyurvedic Anatomy and Physiology

December 11 @ 9:30 am 4:30 pm

This module is part of the Fundamentals of Ayurvedic Medicine programme and explores digestion, metabolism, tissue formation, elimination, and the body’s channels of transport and communication. It can also be taken as a standalone Continuing Education module.

Understand how Ayurveda explains digestion, transformation, nourishment, circulation, waste formation, and the early development of imbalance.

This two-day Continuing Education module explores the role of Agni, the stages of digestion, formation of the dhātus, production of ojas, the development of āma, the function of srotāṃsi, and the formation of malas.

You will learn how these systems work together to maintain health and how disturbances in digestion, metabolism, tissue nourishment, or flow can contribute to imbalance and early disease processes.

The emphasis is on developing an integrated understanding of Ayurvedic physiology and beginning to apply these principles in simple case-based interpretation.

Learning Outcomes

After completing this module, you will be able to:

  • Explain the stages of digestion and the role of Agni in digestion and metabolism.
