I was inspired to write this blog through the book of Dr David Frawley: Inner Tantric Yoga.

“All the things that we are attached to or involved with are forms of Shakti or are rooted in Shakti. Whatever we love, seek or desire is some aspect of Shakti that endows forms with color, beauty, charm, and delight. It is not the object, person, place, or experience itself that is the real source of our fascination but the energy, rasa, or essence, which reflect the Shakti working through it. We are under the allure of Shakti in one way or another, whether we recognize it or not.” – Dr. David Frawley.

Dr. David Frawley’s words beautifully capture the essence of Shakti as the underlying energy that infuses all aspects of life with vibrancy and allure. In Ayurveda and Vedic philosophy, Shakti is the dynamic force that animates the universe, manifesting in various forms and experiences that captivate our senses and hearts. This perspective invites us to look beyond the surface of objects, people, and experiences, recognizing the divine energy that flows through them.

In the context of self-care and honoring the divine feminine, this understanding of Shakti encourages us to connect with the deeper essence of our practices. Whether through meditation, yoga, or nurturing rituals, we are engaging with the Shakti within us and around us, fostering a sense of harmony and empowerment. By acknowledging and embracing this energy, we can cultivate a more profound appreciation for the beauty and delight in our lives, ultimately enhancing our well-being and spiritual growth.
